Rice research is the core business of IRRI, but its work does not end there. Research results need to be communicated and these involve articulating research results, best practices, technologies, and innovations. The Communication team is IRRI's communication and information arm. Through its visual media, editorial, publishing, web, and creative support services, Communication designs, packages, and produces a variety of information materials carrying IRRI’s messages for various audiences and provide a spectrum of communication services for the Institute.

Under the Communication is Media. The team also provides communication leadership within IRRI, including developing and helping implement strategic communication plans and IRRI-wide communication initiatives and activities; and coordinating communications for the Global Rice Science Partnership.

We also help journalists and manage media relations; support issues management; provide content for IRRI's website and help develop it; respond to general enquiries; and social network across Facebook and Twitter.
