The American Academy of Arts and Sciences recently released a new publication, America and the Future of International Science, that presents the case for robust US support and participation in international scientific collaborations, at all scales and across disciplines.
The first installment of their three-part initiative, Challenges for International Scientific Partnerships, aims to articulate the benefits of international collaboration and recommend solutions to the most pressing challenges associated with the design and operation of partnerships. In one of the sidebars, they discussed the establishment of the International Rice Research Agriculture and the importance of collaboration to accelerate scientific innovations aimed at addressing nutrition and food security.
