Targeted to breeders, seed growers, and agronomists working on hybrid rice variety development from the public, private, and NGO sectors, an International Hybrid Rice Seed Production Training Course was recently held last 22-24 October 2019 in Hyderabad, India.
Conducted by the Hybrid Rice Development Consortium (HRDC) in collaboration with the Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) and the ICAR-Indian Institute of Rice Research (ICAR-IIRR), the 3-day event was attended by 18 participants from India, the Philippines, and the United States, and featured the latest hybrid rice technologies from global and local experts.
